The Board was notified today by our current pool management company that they are terminating our contract, effective immediately. Therefore, the kid pool will be closed until further notice. The Board has already started reaching out to possible replacements and will do everything we can to expedite this process. One issue we may run into is the lack of available lifeguards, so if anyone in the neighborhood has their lifeguard training certification (preferably from the American Red Cross) and is interested in guarding the pool the rest of the summer, please let us know. The adult pool will remain open during normal hours.
As a reminder, the second rule listed at the pool is that THE POOL MANAGER AND LIFEGUARDS HAVE THE AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO ENFORCE DISCIPLINE AROUND THE POOL AREA. It would appear that there are residents in the neighborhood who don’t care to abide by this rule and are disrespectful to the people who are in charge. Going forward, the Board will not hesitate to suspend the pool privileges of any resident who does not abide by the rules. They are there for a reason.
