We originally misinterpreted the language in the Mayor’s new emergency proclamation that stated “publicly accessible playgrounds and basketball courts” should remain closed. We have gotten clarification from the Mayor that even though we are not a gated community and there are not access controls around these amenities, they are not considered publicly accessible and we are allowed to reopen, but we must comply with the following standards:
- Maintain at least 6 feet feet of social distancing.
- Sanitize equipment after use. I realize this will be difficult for playgrounds, but please do your best to wipe down high touch areas after your kids have played.
- Wash hands before and after using the facilities.
- Do not use the facilities if you are sick or do not feel well
We will be removing the signs later today and will get the basketball hoops installed as soon as possible.
