All, sorry for the long email, but there are several things I wanted to mention regarding both pools so please read through this.
Unfortunately, the new pool (we will call this the ADULT POOL) will not be ready to open this weekend due to delays caused by weather, utilities, the City, etc, but we are very close. We are hoping to have it open by June 4th, but I can’t make any promises because that will all depend on how long it takes the Health Department and Fire Marshall to make it out for their final inspections. I will keep everyone updated.
Luckily, there is already another pool (we will call this the KID POOL) in the neighborhood for everyone and it will open this Saturday. We installed a drain between the two pools in order to get rid of the low spots in the deck that constantly held water and had become a slipping hazard, which I know will make many of you happy.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR POOL/CLUBHOUSE:
The KID POOL will be open from the Saturday, May 28th to Labor Day. Pool hours are: Tuesday – Friday 12:00 – 8:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm, Sunday 12:00 – 8:00 pm, Closed on Mondays except for holidays. Once school starts in August, the pool will only be open on Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 8pm and regular hours on Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day.
The ADULT POOL will also be open through Labor Day. Pool hours are: Tuesday – Sunday 8:00 am – 10:00 pm and will be Closed on Mondays except for holidays. There WILL NOT be a lifeguard on duty so please be aware of that. Pool rules will be posted at the facilities but some highlights are as follows:
NO GLASS CONTAINERS allowed of any kind.
No pets allowed at the facilities.
All babies and toddlers must wear swim diapers until potty-trained.
No diving anywhere anytime.
The HOA and lifeguard are not responsible for accidents.
The pool manager and lifeguard have the authority and responsibility to enforce discipline around the pool area.
Please exit the pool and patio area in a timely manner during safety breaks, inclement weather and closing time.
Dispose of your trash in the provided trash cans.
There should be no tobacco (smokeless or otherwise) usage anywhere near the pool area.
A few things in general about the pool that we have had issues with in the past:
No beverage/food should be resting on the edge of the pool at any time. Drink your beverage and eat your food at your chair. Do not take beverages/food into the pool.
On the topic of beverages, use discretion if you want to enjoy an adult beverage. No glass containers, pour your beverage into an inconspicuous container and most of all, be respectful. If you have had too many, you will be asked to leave and may lose pool privileges altogether.
Please be sure to shut the exterior gate behind you when you enter and exit so that random people who do not live in the neighborhood can’t just walk in.
The pool will be very popular and crowded on weekends and holidays and we ask that you use discretion in how many guests that you might bring to the facility. I am not going to put a number on it, but I just ask that you respect your neighbor’s ability to use the facility as well. If this becomes a problem we will have to start checking IDs at the gate and charging guests to enter. Weekdays/weeknights are perfect times to bring a guest over to the facility, as these typically aren’t nearly as populated as the weekends.
